UCLA Basketball: Cori Close lands Jungle trained Canadian 4-star forward Brynn Masikewich

The UCLA basketball women’s team received a commitment from Canadian U17 national player Brynn Masikewich for the 2019 recruiting class.

The 2019 recruiting class is looking very good for UCLA basketball head coach Cori Close as she added her third commitment on Wednesday. The Bruins received their first frontcourt pledge as Calgary, Alberta native Brynn Masikewich is on her way to Westwood.

Close has been doing a bang up job on the recruiting trail as the 2019 class looks to be one of the best in her tenure.

UCLA has already received commitments from two 5-star point guards who are among the 25 best according to Prospects Nation as Texan Jaden Owens and local California prospect Charisma Osborne will be in blue and gold the season after next. The Bruins bring in two talented backcourt players, but now add some height to their arsenal

The 6-3 forward is one hell of a low post threat that can play on both ends of the court. Last season she helped her school, Lincoln Prep, win the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association championship but was also one of the featured players on the Canadian National U17 team.

We focus on the key aspects of sports; change of direction, acceleration, and power training. Along with creating the ultimate athleticism through flexibility, speed, strength, power, agility and stamina.

The reason you can’t find them is that their skating and movement has improved beyond all recognition. They are faster, more powerful and better balanced then ever before. With our program this is the common result. In Calgary there are many “hockey/ringette specific” training programs that promise results, the difference between them and us is our program is has been proven to work at the very highest levels of sport. Battle tested in China over 4 years with speed skaters that resulted in 7 gold medals at the Vancouver Olympic Games , our program has been continuously updated and redesigned for ice athletes over the last 10 years. He will challenge you and you will feel uncomfortable throughout the workouts but you will always come out both mentally & physically stronger.
