Due to the ongoing redevelopment of the SAIT Campus Centre, the Gateway had no choice but to close its doors in the summer of 2022. We’d like to thank all of the patrons and staff who have made the last 20+ years an unforgettable experience and remember, this isn’t goodbye… it’s see you later!

The Last Defence Lounge is established and operated by the Graduate Students' Association.

The LDL has two private rooms (cap. 45 people) and a large lounge area (cap. 120 people) available for your private events.

Over the summer, our patio will also be available for private bookings!

The LDL is proud to host many community events with the Graduate Student Associations, student groups, staff and departments to strengthen the community here at the University of Calgary.
