The Rocky Mountain Paddling Centre has been instructing and guiding in the Calgary area for over 20 years. We have built our reputation around the highest quality programs that you can find. We are open holiday Monday, May 22 from 9:00am-5:00pm for members and canoe rentals.

No longer do you have to rent, transport, and launch your vessel to enjoy Calgary’s Bow or Edmonton's North Saskatchewan river. Simply book your ride online and arrive on location.

Let the Paddle Station do the rest – we provide all the equipment ready at the side of the river, including required safety gear (pfd/life jacket, paddles and safety kit); we even give you a safety talk - all for free with your booking AND we take it all from you at the end of your float.

That's right, besides the raft, we don't charge you for all the other items like others do.

Your 2-3 hr self-guided, or guided trip floats 12km through the heart of downtown.

In Calgary start at Shouldice Park and end at St Patrick's Island and in Edmonton, start at the Emily Murphy Park canoe launch and float to the Capilano Boat Launch!

All you have to do is book your vessel, show up, and leave the rest to us.

We provide all the equipment you need at the start location and take it from you at the end location. You just have to hand it over and walk away!! Simple!

We are open later so you can enjoy a lazy sunset cruise through the city.

Choose your vessel and determine whether you need shuttle service, then book a date and time of your preference – we’re open 7 days a week with extended evening hours for sunset floats.

If you’ve booked the optional shuttle, head to our shop in the Calgary Curling Club to hop on. If you’re not taking the shuttle, head to West Baker Park Boat Ramp. In either case, your raft and gear will be sanitized, inflated, and ready to go!

Float 15 kilometres down the Bow (which takes 2 to 4 hours depending on river flow) into the heart of the city to the endpoint across from Prince’s Island Park. You are always welcome to take your time and stop at the many parks and islands that you’ll float lazily by (but if you do, make sure somebody watches your raft so nobody sneaks off with it!).
