Update September 8, 2021: I just had my 28 point furnace tune up. The price was the advertised 129.99 and then with an additional 19.95 "eco fee" (just be aware of this). Which on my official bill charged for "Shop Materials & Travel/Disposal Charge - HVAC". The visit went as scheduled, they phoned early in the day, about a half hour before arrival. The service person (David) was very nice. When done, I didn't realize my thermostat had been reset. Then noticed that the furnace wouldn't shut off even when I turned it to the off position, and that the temperature kept rising. I phoned back Alberta Home Services who sent David back. He had forgotten to connect a wire, which made the furnace continually run. So something for homeowners to ensure they do right after the tune up (set the thermostat settings again and ensure that it's working properly). David was very nice upon return and apologized for forgetting this step.
