Therapy Collective is a collaborative private practice owned by two women to offer you Counselling Therapy. Our aim in creating this collective was to merge our strengths as practitioners to be able to offer you complete wellness.

We currently have seven wonderful Counsellors. We strive to create a space for our clients to feel comfortable to come as they are. We are here for you.

Agnieszka is a trauma-informed Therapist, Counsellor, Somatic Psychotherapist, a registered social worker and registered marriage and family therapist with Calm at the Center Therapy Services, located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Agnieszka provides therapy and counselling to offer tools, support, encouragement, facilitation, and a safe and constructive space for all people and all relationships to engage the deep personal work of healing trauma, developing resilience, and re-authoring lives.

As an experienced professional therapist and counsellor, Agnieszka helps individuals, couples, and families connect with ideas, practices, inner strengths and wisdoms, to find the courage to address any mental or emotional health, and with personal and interpersonal relationship problems.

Agnieszka works with people of all walks of life and who experience diverse problems. She holds a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Calgary, Alberta, and has extensive training in trauma-informed somatic and talk therapies, including the Hakomi Method of Mindfulness-based Somatic Psychotherapy, and Narrative Therapy.

Relationships between partners sometimes experience challenges in much the same way that individuals do. In relationship therapy, I support all partners through challenging conversations and encourage space and understanding of each perspective.

In relationship therapy, I focus on nourishing and guiding the relationship in order to help partners practice deepening connection and intimacy. Difficulty with communication, lack of intimacy, betrayals of trust, challenges in parenting of children, can all be addressed in therapeutic conversations.

Family life can sometimes become tense and difficult - families are groups of unique people who share many connections with each other and the world outside.

Difficulties encountered by one family member, whether it's stress, a developmental milestone, a health challenge, emotional trauma, may ripple out into the family's relationships with each other.

In my approach to family therapy, I bring a gentle focus to the relationships between family members even through those challenges. The healing process begins with identifying any patterns of interaction between family members that might be causing additional distress, and collaboratively finding new ways to connect and bring healing into the relationships.

I facilitate families in relating in patient, curious, supportive, and connecting ways, even throughout challenging times.

Each person entering a therapeutic process is entrusting experiences, challenges, sources of pain, to a therapist because they believe that change is possible.

I ground my therapeutic work in a deep commitment to collaboration, respect, and cherishing the wealth of wisdom, strength, insight of each person.

I believe that choice of therapeutic approaches must always respect a person's life story, life experience, innate wisdom and their strengths, while also acknowledging the socio-cultural and economic contexts that also impact each of us in our world.

In 2008 Living Well Counselling was created for counselling local residents primarily, but has extended to helping clients world-wide. We started with particular values in mind, and these values were shaped around our own experiences. As Counsellors and Psychologists learning what was effective, and also for some of us as clients ourselves. We’ve spent over 10 years learning what works best, and here are some of our core values with you in mind…

First, we seek to provide a safe space. What that means is that:

You will be treated as an equal, with equal rights and responsibilities in the therapeutic alliance you form, rather than being seen or treated as a “patient”. Living Well Counselling is not about “mental illness” or shame, it’s simply about moving toward your goals and being the best you that you can be.

We also provide telephone counselling / onlineTherapy to help you through our current crisis

We don’t expect our bodies to work perfectly 100% of the time, so why would we expect that of our minds? One day there will be no shame in seeking therapy, it will be just as simple as making an appointment with our family doctor or GP.

Therapy will be a collaborative process where you and your Counsellor / Psychologist work together to find the best solutions for your particular situation.

It will be goal-oriented meaning they will help you formulate and work toward your goals.

They will be well trained, with a minimum of a Masters degree, many with thousands of direct client hour experience before seeing you, and will be Registered with a governing body, completing ongoing continuing education & supervision.

You will be paired with your Counsellor / Psychologist based on what you are looking for. For example, if you are hoping to see a Christian Psychologist, or a Marriage Counsellor, or a Counsellor that is LGBTQ safe and affirming, just make a note in your Appointment Request.

We realize that one of the biggest obstacles for people seeking treatment is cost. Because of this, as an agency:

We offer the first 20 minutes with us FREE. You don’t need to pay for a session to see if we’re a good fit for you. If you’d like to meet us, the first 20 minute session is on us.

We offer many Counsellors & Psychologists Calgary with rates below the suggested rate by the PAA, and lower than many agencies in the city.

We offer the full hour to our clients, as opposed to industry standard 50 minute sessions, so that clients can have a real hour.

We have counsellors in Calgary that are Certified, Registered Psychologists and Registered Social Workers to ensure benefits coverage.

We charge the same rate for Marriage Counselling & Couples Counselling as we do for all clients. You don’t have to pay more to work on your relationship.
