muhammad farhan: Great place to visit
Swetang Desai: Good park. We did hike from Carburn park to Beaver dam flats and it's very scenic. The whole hike is paved so strollers would work too.
Shelbie Lazell: Beautiful little park in the south east of the city's. Have a bit of construction going on at the moment, with the temporary closure of the dock. But still so many nice walking trails
Dana S: Can be a bit busy but we usually go outside of busy hours.Nice stable pathways, a couple of bodies of water and close to the Bow River.Restrooms: Washrooms on the back side of the main 'Parks' building.Picnic area: Picnic area with some cookout stoves.
Jason Brown: Cool place to go for a walk or picnic. If your looking for birds though dont go mid day. Morning or evening is best.
Bharat Shah: The park, established 38 years ago, has two lakes or huge ponds, created by channelizing the Bow River, wrapped by a paved trail. There is a forest with thousands of trees all along the trail. There are tens of benches all along the trail, picnic tables at some places, and a gazebo. Also, there are some other unpaved and winding trails and beaten paths, for those who like to explore more. Furthermore, there are Bow River Pathway and Trans Canada trail. The parking lot is not immense; nevertheless, on a busy day. you may park your vehicle on the nearby streets, for free.Over all, this is a well-maintained, good natural park for the dwellers of south east area of Calgary for a variety of activities, watching birds, and wildlife.Playground: There is no playground.Restrooms: There are seasonal washrooms and some porta-potties.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed if they are leashed.Picnic area: There are many picnic tables overlooking the lake.
CRAIG GERLITZ: I live nearby and love to go to this natural park. It has a fireplace and lots of tables and benches. Beautiful place.
Jake Bogaard: One of calgarys best parks. Can hand feed chickadees and woodpeckers here. See deer all around.
Sara Saeedi: One of the best spots for photography in Calgary! So beautiful, not that crowded and close to the river.
Rosanna Lenz: Beautiful park
Catherine Franssens: Great place for a stroll and some bird watching
Refined Acctg: Paved and relaxing
Calugar Mircea: Very nice and clean park

michael bussoli: One of our favourite parks in the city. This is a place for exploring, for getting fresh air on the Douglas Fir Trail and other trails. It feels like you're in the mountains. Or, take the family for a picnic at the many picnic sites that also have bbq pits. A top notch park.
Joel Ouellet-harrisson: Good place to spend the day

Anthony Speranzo: Playground: Big playground for kids.Dog-friendliness: Perfect for dog walking.
Kateryna Novikova: Nice place to walk and seat ❤️
Shri (SHRI): Amazing place; loved the experience.
Mahelet Getachew Gebrekidan: Beautiful on a sunny day
Sean Weber: Fantastic network of paths crisscross the park with abundant sitting areas and learning opportunities. Things to do vary based on the season so it would be wise to check the official website to make sure you can get the most out of a trip. No parking per-se so if you plan on driving, you're most likely looking at downtown parking. If you're local to the park there are several options to get there by pathway and a bridge over the Bow River.Restrooms: Seasonal only.Dog-friendliness: On leash areas only but lots of trails and natural areas for dogs to explore.Picnic area: You can basically set up a blanket and picnic anywhere you like.
Марьяна Довченко: Very beautiful park.
Aws Salih: We just drove from Red deer to walk around the island and it is amazing and nice place

The ice skating pond is a highlight, surrounded by twinkling lights and festive decorations. The park's Christmas market offers a variety of local vendors selling handmade crafts, delicious treats, and hot chocolate to keep you cozy. One of the highlights and entertaining features is beautiful lagoon ideal for paddle boating in summer and ice skating in winter, It’s a year-round attraction. With abundant picnic spots, view points with benches, playgrounds, and walking trails, for kids Train Ride is the main attraction, Bowness Park is perfect for families and nature enthusiasts alike. The park's charming ambiance and diverse amenities make it a must-visit spot in Calgary for a relaxing day outdoors.Playground: Exclusive playgrounds for family sports and entertainmentRestrooms: Conveniently located neat clean restrooms all around the parkDog-friendliness: Exclusive dog parkPicnic area: Abandoned picnic spots along the river and lagoon surrounded by huge trees
Zakarya Yousef: Great park with nice amenities
Russell Reed: Bowness Park, with stunning views of the Bow River and plenty of space to roam around is a perfect spot for a few hours of outdoor adventure without having to leave calgary. In winter its a snowy wonderland, with ice skating around the paths and the river, cozy fire pits, and a couple of non-regulation curling circles where you can try your hand at the Winter Olympics most popular sport.Come for the curling, stay for the memories!
GANESH RAMALINGAM: Great park for a walk along the river, there is a train track around the park and a boat launch wonderful if they are seasonally active, apart from that we saw a lot of birds around mainly Canada geese, Downey woodpeckers and some American robins, stroller friendly trail. The bow river is flowing so humble along the park with pleasant sound of the river around. Situated in North west Calgary.Picnic area: Very large picnic area
Jairo Barreto: Excellent place to get closer to nature!!
Julien DeSchutter: Great walking/hiking trails in a beautiful environment. Trails are available for all levels of walkers/hikers.Playground: Plenty of very good safe playgrounds for younger childrenRestrooms: Good clean restrooms.Picnic area: Lots of large picnic space. Book with the city if you need space for a large group.
Manish Kumar: Picnic area: Nice picnic area with plenty of tables and space beside the river.
Sean Weber: In my opinion, Bowness Park ahs become a lot more popular since the upgrades made after the 2013 floods. Currently still some remnants from the Stoney Trail bridge construction, but once the fencing and construction areas are cleaned up, the park will be fully restored. Tons of activities in all seasons. Definitely recommend checking out this NW Calgary park.Playground: Several playgrounds to chose from.Restrooms: Public facilities available outside the winter months.Dog-friendliness: Believe it's an on leash area but lots of trails and natural space for dogs.Picnic area: Several reserve-able picnic areas to chose from.
