We offer empowerment and confidence building classes and programs for people of all ages, along with public, community and corporate programs. Facilitated by personal safety and self defense professionals with ‘boots on the ground’ experiences. Our programs encourage participants to step into and own their power and have them leaving with the confidence that they can protect themselves and their loved ones against a dangerous encounter, or avoid in the first place.

Safe4Life is one of the only self defense programs designed to offer the unique Padded Attacker Experience. In the safe and trusting environment that is created through the build of the program, our facilitators support participants to enter the mat with our Padded Attacker. An everyday scenario is created for the participant who is asked to envision themselves in that scenario. From there, the Padded Attacker confronts the participant either from the front or back, with out without verbal interaction, and the ‘attack’ ensues. The role of the participant is to use their new skills to either remove themselves from the potentially risky environment or fight back to escape the ‘attack’.

The Padded Attacker Experience can be added to any of our corporate and community programs.

Safe4Life instructors are professional self defense and personal safety trainers. All have been trained to the Safe4Life curriculum and many have some affiliation, either past or current, to the Calgary Police Service. When our instructors are facilitating our classes, they are contractors to Safe4Life.

Classes vary in length from 60 minute Lunch & Learn presentations to 4 hour self defense programs with the option for a conflict management discussion.

Our training is not martial arts based. Participants are instructed to tune into their environment and remove themselves should they sense risk. If they do get in a physical altercation, participants are shown strategies to quickly and effectively strike the attacker in ways they can escape.

Our team comes to your location; an office boardroom, school gymnasium, community room, private homes or backyards. We ask our customers to choose a location that suits their needs best and we bring our instructors and equipment to you.
