Finalizing and deciding on what roof rack to buy and what roof top tent would suit my needs was painless. I understand that my Defender and G Wagen are not super common like Toyota's but they didn't skip a step in making sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my new gear. While it seemed straight forward enough to special order a roof rack, unfortunately it took a few follow up calls and emails with the manufacturer to get my roof rack located, shipped and landed at the shop.Pricing: 4/5 - Unless it's free, this won't be a perfect score. Pricing and value go hand in hand in my books. I have never asked for a deal...ever coming to The Gear Shop. What I do look for is a quality product, after purchase support and customer experience during the buying process. I know that these guys will find me a quality product, always provide after purchase support and my experience every time has been positive. I don't mind paying for toys as long as I see value in what I'm getting at the end of the day. The attention to detail with installing my tent alone was worth it. Chris: Pretty much went to every custom off-road shop to discuss my Toyota Pickup build. The Gear shop was last on the list as some other shops in the area had higher reviews. They were by far the most helpful with the planning of the build and offered some great input and guidance. Communication has been excellent and they are very easy to get ahold of for updates. I’m still waiting on parts so I’ll provide another review once the work is complete. I really feel this shop should have a 5 star rating. All the staff is excellent and everyone seems to be stoked on working there. Ignore the older reviews and give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Kyle Korr: I had a great experience at this location. I was previously at Mr. lube on 16th Ave., Northwest beside Peters Drive in. I had an issue with the tire leaking air at the bead which this location installed three months ago. I phoned in today to ask if he could repair it and the manager said he would have to charge me, was also very rude about it. So I called Mr. lube country Village Way, Austin took care of the problem for me, also agreed that the other location was not accountable and should not have been rude or suggested charging me for this repair. Turns out the rim and bead were never cleaned correctly at the time of installation, there was corrosion build up which caused the tire to leak! I highly recommend this location!! U

Rudy Gabuco: I tried to change my tires by myself but i only managed to change 3 of 4 because i cannot take out the last tire. So I brought my car here to have the last tire changed. I was attended quickly and one of their guy managed to detach the tire by hammering it with a rubber mallet. After the tire swap I was surprised to know that they will not charge me for that single tire swap and they just hope I come back for an oil change.I will definitely come back to this place as they are NOT simply after your money. I was not able to get the name of the mechanic who helped me but kudos to you sir!
