User FAQs

The restaurant focuses on providing exceptional Japanese-influenced cuisine paired with the best produce Canada has to offer. The chef's own garden and farm provide some of the ingredients, creating a truly contemporary Japanese dining experience.

Guests can indulge in Calgary's 1st Yakitori Omakase Experience at the Chef's Bar, where they can watch the nightly symphony of salt, fat, and fire being conducted. The menu focuses on meat skewers using all parts of the chicken, with a limited amount of chickens butchered each day.

The A5 wagyu beef almost melted in the mouth, and the flavor was rich and smoky. The skewers were incredibly tasty, and the Shokunin Tori Ramen was unlike any other in Calgary, with rich and flavorful broth and tender chashu. The desserts, including kiso creme brulee and sake kasu tiramisu, were also packed with flavor.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making recommendations for sake pairings. The atmosphere was great, with a touch on the pricey side but offering serious quality. The restaurant pushes modern ideas with a respectful nod to traditional Japanese food methodology.

There are no stairs or barriers, and the tables can be easily moved for wheelchair accessibility. However, the bar area may be too high for wheelchair users. The restaurant offers a fun and lovely Omakase experience with a direct view of the kitchen and a chance to chat with the chef.
